December 2007

Dear Saints.

Shalom.

But for the likes of me few people will spend Christmas in front of computers writing or reading
e-mails. Knowing this I will make this brief.

Still I want to let you know the Anniversary Celebrations were grand and so was The Singing Christmas Tree presentation. Some 1200 people attended. Bapu and the staff did an excellent job; the praise of those who attended was lavish and well deserved. I had no part in the preparations neither did Yohan as he has been unwell for some time. He and Priya need your prayers.

Bapu lived up to his position as Managing Director and proved his ability to get everybody from the various hostels and departments to work together in a way I have never seen before. His humility showed itself in that he took advice from anybody and his strength in that he had the courage to chose and finally, from the mass of data presented, make his own decision. Though some may mock, yet to me, watching all that was going on, the thought occurred over and over again: "Prem Sewa has come of age". The kids and I built something great not by taking over from others, not by standing on other people's accomplishments but from the ground up. (Though of course - with your help.) I felt immensely proud of my kids.

But Bapu also needs your prayers as he has great dreams for the future. Yet he is not alone; he has great friends to help and support him. It is the first time I leave India in a semblance of peace though, as usual with sadness. At the Nagpur airport I almost cried.

I am planning to get Bapu to come to Canada for two months while the home is closed for the summer - i.e. April to June end. All going well he will join me in BC before I set out across Canada to the East. I want to introduce him to you so, that after my departure you will know him and support Prem Sewa through him. Please pray for his visa.

I am with my older brother and his wife in Aachen, Germany and - I am being spoiled! I fear for my waist and it is not even Christmas! It is as I wrote to somebody: "Life is good because God is good and makes others to be good to me."

I will arrive in Vancouver on the 3rd of January at 1.35 p.m. I will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

Thank you for your incredible goodness uswards.
But your sacrifices are not in vain.
Through Bapu and his staff you are establishing in the very heart of India a place with a genuine heart for kids,
a place with a genuine love for kids;
a centre of compassion in the centre of India -
created by the very kids you supported for the very kids you are supporting our Indian kids.
You are awesome!

Keeping this thought in mind - enjoy a "Merry Christmas" and "A prosperous New Year".

Pray for me - I miss my kids.

Blessings!

Frank
